Jay D. Carnahan is founder and CEO of ORION Property Partners. Jay is responsible for overall business operations and for the delivery of real estate services and investment activities. Since its inception in 1999, ORION has become one of the leading independent commercial real estate services firm in Southern California. Jay’s extensive experience includes various senior positions with some of the most recognized commercial real estate service, investment and development companies including Cushman & Wakefield, Transpacific Development Company, PM Realty Group and Transwestern Commercial Services Company. Jay has been involved in the acquisition, development, property management, marketing and leasing of over 40 million square feet of some of the West Coast’s leading commercial real estate properties and institutional owners. Jay’s experience includes general partner in development, lease-up and management of over 5 million square feet of institutional quality high-rise and suburban office and industrial properties throughout California and Hawaii.

Providing strategic direction and leadership, Judy Hirsch specializes in the strategic management of real estate portfolios to help clients maximize returns. She has extensive financial management experience in real estate accounting, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, financing and bank relations. Prior to joining ORION, Judy was Chief Financial Officer of Bixby Land Company where she retains the Emeritus title. Previously, Judy was Vice President of Finance for the Hapsmith Company and has performed similar services for some of California’s most respected developers including Transpacific Development Company and Ernest W. Hahn, Inc.

A Partner at ORION Property Partners, Bob has been active in tenant representation, marketing and leasing of office properties in Orange County. He has been instrumental in shaping the Orange County market and has represented clients and completed more than 8 million square feet of transactions with a value in excess of $125 million. Prior to joining ORION, Bob was Director of Leasing for The Irvine Company and was an award-winning broker at CB Richard Ellis where he received numerous awards including “Top Broker of the Year” for six consecutive years.

Richard Essen is a partner of ORION Property Partners and brings an intimate knowledge of the leasing process from both the landlord and tenant perspectives which proves invaluable in facilitating transactions. Richard spent 25 years with Cushman + Wakefield as a Senior Director and expert in the Orange County office market. He has represented both landlords and tenants in transactions surpassing 5 million square feet. He was responsible for primary leasing for many high profile multi-tenant office properties including Newport Gateway, Pacific Financial Plaza, Hewitt Bayview, Century Centre, South Coast Corporate Center, 3 Hutton Centre and The Landmark Building.

Barry Gail is a partner at ORION Property Partners and brings over 27 years of Orange County market expertise. Prior to his joining ORION Property Partners, he was consistently recognized as one of the top 10 producers at Cushman & Wakefield. A Senior Director at Cushman & Wakefield, Barry was lead broker for some of Orange County’s highest profile Class A office developments. With expertise in tenant representation, consulting services and presentations, Barry has been responsible for leasing high profile properties for some of the nation’s most recognized organizations including MetLife, Dean Witter, Morgan Stanley, The Irvine Company, CarrAmerica, Transpacific Development Company, Berwyn Property Group, John Hancock, Emkay Development, Brinderson Development, Hewitt and the Koll Company. He was responsible for leasing over 7 million square feet. Clients rely on his market knowledge, depth of experience, relationships, integrity and persistence in negotiating transactions.

A partner at ORION, Mark McAdams offers nearly thirty years of commercial real estate knowledge and expertise and brings a unique skill set to the equation in that he combines his brokerage skills with his in depth knowledge of operations and management at the building level making him a unique asset in the real estate brokerage community to both tenants and landlords alike. He most recently served as a Vice President with RREEF Property Management where he acted as an asset manager overseeing the leasing and management of a 2.5 million square foot portfolio of Class A office and flex tech properties in Orange and Los Angeles counties. Significant properties included the 1 million square foot Wilshire Courtyard in Los Angeles and the 750k square foot Metro Center at South Coast in Costa Mesa. Prior to that Mark spent over 20 years of his professional career at Cushman & Wakefield where he was a top producer. During his tenure he represented such notable landlords as Citicorp, CM Capital, CUNA Mutual, John Hancock Life, LBA Realty, Metropolitan Life, Triple Net Properties, Mission Land Company, Morgan Stanley, Nationwide Life, Rancon Realty Funds & The Whittier Trust. In addition, he has represented a full spectrum of tenant assignments highlighted by the headquarters relocation of Wonderware Software to 128k square feet in Lake Forest. Other important clients included AXA Financial, Camp Dresser & McKee, CUNA Mutual, Fluor Corporation, Grant Thornton, GTE/Verizon, Imagistics, Levi Strauss, New York Life, Permanent General, Pitney Bowes, Spectrum Restaurant Group, and Sterling Software.

Kevin Maguire’s real estate experience covers nearly 25 years and focuses on the development of projects, investment sales, build-to-suit, and the representation of numerous retail tenants completing over 735 transactions with a total consideration in excess of $643 million dollars. Kevin has represented clients such as 24 Hour Fitness and has leased over 1,500,000 sq/ft of retail space.  In 1993 Kevin formed Maguire Associates with the goal being able to service his clients’ specialized needs with greater flexibility. Prior to Maguire Associates, Kevin was employed by CB Commercial Real Estate in Newport Beach where he was in the Top Ten Retail Brokers in the Western Region for all 10 ∏ years employed, in the Top Five for 3 consecutive years and number One nationally in 1988. Kevin holds a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from the University of Illinois.

Prior to joining ORION Property Partners, he was an exceptional performer for Park Place Partners. He earned two Bachelor Degrees in Entrepreneurship in Business and Political Science at the University of Washington where he founded and successfully developed an online residential real estate marketing resource for the campus community.

Lis Giusto is the Director of Operations and is responsible for the overall Office Management, Human Resources, and also supports the marketing efforts of the firm. Lis comes to ORION from GMACM's Ditech division where she served as the Executive Assistant and Project Manager to both the General Manager and Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing for 9 years.

Sharas began her career in commercial real estate in 2001 when she joined CIP Real Estate. Shara is primarily responsible for all marketing efforts on behalf of our clients and principals, along with all research reports, portfolio reporting, and client updates. Shara also assists the senior principals with their day to day functions, and all aspects of client relationship management.
